Ok, I’m cheating by posting old art, consider this a non-post. But I wanted to add this to my “Illustrations” collection. :)

Blog Banner Artwork

It’s so tiny up there! All that effort!!

So here it is slightly larger.

Blog Banner Artwork

Updates 5 days in a row! That’s gotta be a first for me. TOTALLY. But I can’t believe its 5AM already. WHUT!? OK. Time to revert back to regular sleeping hours I think.

Darn Cats!

Dag nabbits, I sketched this for a sketchoholic comp and didn’t look at the deadline… by the time I finished, uploading was closed! Well I’m a goose!

Drunk Basset Hound

Nail Biting!

… is fortunately something I only do figuratively, not literally.

None-the-less I’m nervous. BIG. Something BIG.

Aren’t I just mysterious? :P

Anyhow, this isn’t anything to do with my mysteriously important and huge news, which I only want to allude to at least until it’s finished and was successful … but here’s more quick art. I entered into a daily sketch Sketchoholic comp…

Detail…

Building Momentum

I’m in one of those troughs in terms of confidence with my artwork. It’s been hard for me to get motivated and most of it I blame on a couple of emotional things that have happened in the passed few months.

Anyway, I’m going back to my roots… starting with doing a lot of manga art. Might help build up my manga illustration collection which i can use to promote the occasional manga workshop I run with Fi Darwin.

I was digging through my 2010 folder projects and realised how much unfinished work I have. A lot of it was done over the last few months… depression really does that to me I guess.

But hey, I’m climbing out of it. Ready to get out of my rut. It’s a quick one, but I proclaim this finished. Good sign, no?

SIMI (Hummingbird)

I was once a part of this online RPG story called “Solar Soaring” (YEY Nerdy hobbies) where I played a character that had a little robot pet called “SIMI” (which is actually an acronym (which I’ve forgotten.)) SIMI does a whole range of things like record footage, audio, communicate, create force fields, measure, scan… most of the things an iphone can do. Except the awesome thing about this robot is that it can also transform into a turtle and lizard. Hummingbird is it’s first form.

The original sketch was a concept I did for my friend’s short film – but he didn’t end up using the design because he wanted an owl character.. so I’ve stolen it back and painted over it. =3

Matt Elias (Finished)

I proclaim this finished because I want to move on. >8D

I was in a rush when I posted this before so I’m taking the time now to edit this post and put the appropriate credits.

Matt Elias is a character from The Falcon Banner. This is fan art for the audio drama series, adapted from the novels by Christopher Patrick Lydon.

I’m one of those people who if I discover a film series first before the novel, I’ll wait until the film is finished, then if I’m not satisfied I’ll read the books. Well, that’s exactly what has happened for this audio drama series… except it’s been a while since a new episode has come out (understandably – Chris Snyder has been busy but did post a few months back that he was still intending to finish at least the first book or something). Soooo I think I may have to get my hands on the books… I must need to know what happens next!

I managed to get my friend, Fiona hooked to the audio drama too! \:D/

Shaaaaaaame on me… no posts during February!!! OK. Will post some of my life drawing stuff over the last few weeks in a short while to make up for it. =)

You must be able to tell right now that I’m in a rush…

Just… “The Doctor.”

OK so I was meant to sleep like about 3 1/2 hours ago… but I picked up where I left off last time (check out my other blog for the WIP) and couldn’t stop! It’s not perfect… but eh. Time to move on I think.

So this means really good and bad news. The bad news is I’ll probably wake up late tomorrow. The good news is that when I come back from Melbourne I can start on something new!

There’s something slightly different I want to try… There’s this audio drama podcast that I totally love called The Falcon Banner produced by Darker Projects. For my next few portraits, I might try and paint these characters. I actually spent a whole day (last Sunday I think it was) googling up some actors and casting this show if it were to be made a film. So apart from Nazzine and Shale… I have actors in mind for each part. (OK, so it’s purely based on looks.) Anyway, I’ll start with my favourite character… Matt Elias. He’s a pretty boy. Hahahah those of you who know me are probably not surprised. Those of you who REALLY know me… know I’ve attempted to paint him before. Well, this time, I’m gonna finish it. *clenches fist*
